Evil Dead actor Bruce Campbell has spoken about the prospect of making an all-star film celebrating his favourite genre and following on the success of Sly Stallone and pals.

The iconic horror star said he wanted to see a scary version of The Expendables get made with some big names being involved.

The concept is highly unlikely at the moment given how difficult it is trying to bring those former horror actors into the mix but Campbell himself is refusing to give up on the idea.

Bruce said: “Yeah. I never say never.

“I have a script that I’m working on that would pretty much be that. It’s not ready to share at this point. It’s in the pipeline, I guess you could say. I’ve always wanted to do the Expendables of Horror type movie.

“Because I always run into all my horror buddies at conventions. It would be fun to do a movie that pretty much has all of them in it.”

Bruce is set to reprise his iconic role as Ash Williams in the Evil Dead television series Ash vs. Evil Dead (consisting of 10 episodes) which is currently shooting in New Zealand ahead of a 2016 release.
