TRY SOMETHING NEW TO GET FIT FOR 2017 AT MOVEMA WORLD DANCE STUDIOS

Award winning dance company Movema have unveiled Liverpool’s most diverse dance class timetable for 2017 and are welcoming all keep fit fans to their city centre studio to try something new.

The new class timetable features a dance style to suit everybody and boasts dance classes you can’t take anywhere else. Ever wanted to be the King or Queen of the Dancehall? Well now you can pick up the silky skills necessary from Liverpool lads Collecta – Nutribe.

The schedule also sees international artists, who have made their home in Liverpool now teaching classes. The highly skilled Hannah Ballard, who also works with Wired Aerial dance company is now leading Sole Rebel Tap group in the Rhythm Tap class.

For yoga practitioners, there is also something exciting – with a Strala Yoga workshop taking place on March 4th. Strala yoga is a revolutionary approach to guiding feeling and movement, which gets people radiantly healthy, free, creative, and happy. It is hard to find a class taking place outside of London.

Alongside visiting teachers, Movema directors Ithalia Forel and Maria Malone teach accompanied by live music. Ithalia’s African dance classes feature three live drummers and Maria’s Irish Ceili sessions feature Irish musicians.

World Dance specialists Movema have established their company ethos by provide enriching opportunities through dance to people on Merseyside, who might previously not have been able to enjoy and take part in dance classes, including both children and adults.

Movema have become a leading force on the Merseyside dance scene and work with LIPA and Mersey Care NHS Trust to produce the Moving Minds mental health care programme as well as host the Active Zone at Africa Oye festival.

Now, after celebrating their seventh birthday and winning an EPIC Award for youth dance, the company are looking to build on the success of the first year at their Movema World Dance Studios, at the site of the former Cains Brewery.
