Delifonseca Dockside celebrates with Near Year's Eve menu

Delifonseca Dockside will flaunt its culinary expertise this New Year’s Eve, with a special three-course menu created just for the occasion.

As part of the celebrations, the team will be raising a toast to an incredible 2019 that saw the restaurant and delicatessen pick up a number of awards including ‘Retailer of the Year’ and ‘Restaurant of the Year’ at the Merseyside Independent Business Awards. This year, Delifonseca also opened its stunning new dining space and bar, which will host the evening’s merriments.

The sensational menu will boast dishes such as Ox Consommé with Fried Austrian Dumplings or Seafood Terrine for starter, with Compressed Melon and Buffalo Mozzarella options available for those eating meat-free. Mains feature a Trio of Old Spot Lancashire Pork, Marseille Bouillabaisse or a Wild Mushroom dish with Truffle and Shaved Butternut Squash. Third course options include Salt Baked Pineapple and Lime Sponge, plus Chocolate and Dark Rum Torte.

Proprietor of Delifonseca Candice Fonseca said: “After such a fantastic year, it only felt right to see out 2019 at the new restaurant. We’ve made sure that some of our favourite dishes are present on the menu, with something for everyone including some gluten free and vegan options.

“The quality of produce we use here at Delifonseca is always at the forefront, so we’re going out with a bang with dishes boasting some of the finest ingredients available. We hope to see familiar and new faces for a special evening set to celebrate happiness, health and more successes in 2020.”

Located on Brunswick Way, Delifonseca Dockside is a 90-seater restaurant with a focus on taking traditional British favourites and global dishes and giving them a modern take. The foodie establishment makes the most of fresh, seasonal ingredients, most of which can be purchased in the deli next door.

The New Year’s Eve menu is available for both a 6pm sitting (£35 per head) and an 8.30pm sitting with midnight fizz and fun (£45 per head).
