LA psychedelic rock band Darker my love are back with an album that demands your attention. Alive As You Are is the follow up to the band’s breakthrough album, 2.

Their sound suggests that Darker My Love would have loved to be born into a different era, preferably the 60s. as the influence of The Beatles and The Kinks is palpable.

It will leave you thinking, “Where have I heard this melody before?” Along with the familiar tune comes catchy, punchy lyrics.

Recorded at the legendary Hyde Street Studios, it is the bands most musically focussed collection to date.

A personal favourite of ours is the track, 18th Street Shuffle, with reminiscing bluesy riffs and keyboard solos reminiscent of The Doors, it’ll have you up and dancing in no time.

Alive As You Are is realised August, 17.
