Festival season is upon us and St Werburghs in Bristol decided to kick things off in good style with plenty to keep the city’s creatives happy.

For those of us who are already sick of the World Cup (gasp!) the party vibes echoing from leafy St Werbergs provided a perfect sanctuary to escape, drink and have a good ol’ dance.

The City Farm fair boasted stalls of veggie yumminess and clothes that would give a rainbow a run for its money.

The acoustic talents of Bristol’s finest musicians were on hand to entertain the crowd, as well as reggae tunes blasting out of every crevice possible.

Full of like-minded people, the fair showcased just what Bristol is about – having a laugh. At one point, the haystacks were ripped apart and the area transformed into a farm-friendly WWE, much to the delight of a few five-year-olds eager to chuck hay on just about everyone.

The Farm pub played centre stage, where you were able to grab a pint for a couple of quid and relax in the beer garden without a football in sight.

Down the road, there was also a huge sound system blaring out tracks ranging from dub step to drum n bass, which was a sumptuous setting for sipping a can of cider from the corner shop.

It was all fun and games at the City Farm Fair, with ages ranging from 0 – 80, everyone was all about having a good time. Here’s to festival fever.
