Chase & Status are the dominating live force of the moment, fusing all the rawness of early Prodigy with 90s drum and bass influences and adding their unique flavour to the mix.
From the outset, the dark African junglist rhythms of No Problem spellbound the sell out crowd at Liverpool Uni and had them bouncing off each other and mean mugging.
Their stage set up is a winner. The drummer takes centre stage with monsieurs Chase and Status on either side orchestrating the audio assaults, MC Andy Gangadeen in the middle and strident visuals in the background bringing the vocalists from No More Idols to life.
Let You Go, featuring Mali is a deep groove with raw emotion which resonated powerfully with the crowd and had even the most timid fan busting out their best Dubstep dance moves.
Hypest Hype feat Tempa T was also a fierce highlight before Blind Faith, which boasts the soulful vocals of rising star Liam Bailey hits fever pitch and then the comedown begins.
