Vizea Sound/Film Fallon Session live with James M. Carson

Vizea Sound studious and Film Fallon hosted an intimate session with rising star James M Carson, who has been carefully crafting his music during the past four years.

Singer songwriter James showcased his guitar and vocal style and has been capturing the hearts of a growing audience with his mellifluous and soulful grooves.

The reception has been consistently positive and his reputation to deliver an endearing performance and a sizable repertoire of material is attracting interest from promoters all over the North West.

Demand for his live performances has increased and so the calibre of the artist James is supporting has surged. Last year he opened for Evening Hymns, The Wooden Sky, Nick Harper and hero of anti-folk, Lach.

James' music draws heavily from folk, rock, alt-country and grunge influences - perhaps some of the more obvious artists being Elliot Smith, Neil Young, Jeff Buckley, George Harrison and Roy Harper.

Lyrically, he has a tendency toward introspection - a 20 minute acoustic set becomes a very revealing and intimate experience.

In his own words "the songs are sometimes dark, quite often melodic, but always honest."

James performed at the first Vizea Sound/Film Fallon session - but live music fans can expect to see more quality acts in the near future.
