Joining the loose hipped icon are Joss Stone, Dave Stewart, Damian Marley and A.R Rahman.

To combat scheduling difficulties several studios across the world – France, India, USA and Cypress - were used in order to get the quintet in one place.

The group’s first release has been given a speculative September release date, with most tracks having been completed over a three week period in LA.

The first single is titled ‘Miracle Worker’ and it has been confirmed that the five stars will shoot a video together.

Talking to Rolling Stone Mick said: ‘It's different from anything else I've ever been involved in. The music is very wide-ranging – from reggae to ballads to Indian songs in Urdu.’

Universal Music will release the album in September.
