Wax your vintage Gaultier gimp mask in preparation for Baltimore post-punk trio Double Dagger’s UK tour, kicking off next week.

Using deceptively simple instrumentation – the holy trinity of drums, bass and vocals – Double Dagger make a cacophonous wall of sound hailed ‘angry’ pop.

Part Fugazi, part No Age, part Shellac, the Double Daggers sound is aggressive, minimalist punk, that maintains an underlying pop melodiousness.

You can catch one of their intense live shows at the following excellent venues in May.

Wed 12 Nottingham Spanky Van Dykes (w/Friendship)
Thu 13 Leeds Nation Of Shopkeepers (w/Friendship)
Sat 15 London The Rest Is Noise (w/Friendship)
Sun 16 Bristol Start the Bus (w/Friendship)
Mon 17 Cardiff Arts Centre
Tue 18 London Cargo (w/Ganglians and Real Estate)
Wed 19 Dublin Whelans

Double Dagger’s CD/LP ‘Masks’ was released in March through legendary label Thrill Jockey and featured limited edition packaging designed by Nolen Strals (vocals) and Bruce Willen’s (bass, vocals) own design studio, Post Typography.
