Billed as a night of 'psychedelic sunshine folk for day dream believers’, Harvest Sun’s second Kaleidoscope night returns on Wednesday 26th October to Liverpool haunt The Kazimier.

In addition to showcasing some of the city's hottest new talent, the bill is headlined by superlative Canadian psych/pop band Elephant Stone.

Named after the classic Stone Roses track, the Montreal residents are gearing up for their second LP to be released in Spring 2012.

Recent single Love the Sinner, Hate the Sin was a 12-string guitar symphony backed with the eight minute psychedelic opus The Sea of Your Mind.

The band are the brainchild of bassist/sitarist Rishi Dhir an in-demand sitar player for every outlaw psych band out there including The Black Angels, Brian Jonestown Massacre, The Soundtrack of Our Lives.

2009 debut album, The Seven Seas perfectly melded Rishi’s obsession with the perfect pop song and the trippiest raga.

Warmly embraced by the global indie-scene, the LP was long listed for the coveted 2009 Polaris Music Prize in Canada.

Last year saw the release of The Glass Box EP, a five song suite of inspired power-pop/psyche classics, in addition to support slots with The Brian Jonestown Massacre and Teenage Fanclub's North American tours.

Elephant Stone’s inaugural tour of Europe saw the band play sold-out dates in London and Berlin.

In addition to the headliners are some of the city’s best new talent for a pocket boosting £5.

Wirral natives By the Sea have been winning heavy praise from many in Liverpool and beyond with their Brydsian guitar melodies and Richard Hawley-esque vocals.

Lucky Beaches, responsible for one of the best records this year in the shape of their stunning debut EP are presently recording their debut album in addition to winning scores of new fans at their gigs.

Grand Lunar meanwhile are making their live debut and boast a pedigree of featuring members of The Wild Eyes amongst their ranks.

The night is rounded off with a DJ set by evergreen Merseyside melody merchants The Coral.
