Purple Revolver caught up with Mark Ronson at an exclusive record signing at Rise Records, Bristol and got the word from the super-producer's mouth about his blonde locks.

Dressed in a Breton-striped top, navy blazer and sporting a more toned down platinum mane Mark looked ship-shape and Bristol fashion, happily signing copies of his new record for the fans that gathered for a glimpse of their idol.

Mark is safe in our book. In between speaking to fans' friends on the phone and signing a mass of merch, we shot some rapid fire questions his way about album artwork, Lady Gaga and advice for aspiring producers.

Mark said: "My all-time favourite album artwork has to be something simple, like Duran Duran's Rio - which we ripped off for my new album - or Queens of The Stone Age - Rated R."

"The hair is staying despite what everyone is saying.

"It's about wishful thinking, I'm going platinum to reflect the number of album sales we'll make.

"Maybe it's a bit Lady GaGa, or Gary GaGa. I think Lady GaGa's incredibly talented but there are no plans to work with her at the moment. I wouldn't turn her down though.

"Maybe in the future I'd look into music scoring and working with someone like Quentin Tarantino."

When asked who taught him the 'business' Ronson said his sidekick Alex Greenwald: "He taught me the chords. But nobody can teach you really. It's about learning yourself.

"My advice to aspiring producers is to make as much music as possible."

Mark Ronson, Record Collection was released today.

Our inside tip for the Golden Boy's 80s extravaganza is Mark's fave track featuring Boy George on vocals Somebody To Love Me. Sultry disco electric wet dreams.

The next Uber fanzine is ready to rock the streets nationwide on 10/10/10.
