Mac DeMarco, a Canadian singer, multi-instrumentalist, producer and a self described "Jizz Jazz" artist has officially announced his fifth studio release ‘’This Old Dog’’ alongside two new tracks from the album, the self titled "This Old Dog" and "My Old Man".

This announcement follows his less formal teaser publish on DeMarco’s instagram page, @macdemarco, from the 28th of September 2016 where he celebrates finishing the record and signs off with a sad note ‘’RIP Carrie, I’ll never forget ya, god bless’’, referring to the recent death of famous actress Carrie Fisher.

This project will be his third full length album, serving as his follow up to his 2015 EP release "Another One" and also adding to his previous LPs, "2" (2012) and "Salad Days" (2014).

The album will consist of 13 track in total, as fully listed below, however on top of that the iTunes’ website announced that the digital release will include a pre-order special that includes 11 instrumental versions of the songs from the new album.

The album is set to be released on the fifth of May 2017 and is already available to pre-order on iTunes.

The physical copies can currently be pre-ordered on omnianmusicgroup.com in a form of a classic CD, Gatefold LP, Special Edition LP and a Cassette.

The cover art for the album has also been revealed which consists of a messy hand drawn piece with titles of the upcoming songs from the LP in between the artwork.

Although two new singles are included as part of the pre-order deal, anyone can listen to them for free on Captured Tracks’ YouTube channel, Mac DeMarco’s record label representatives.
