SG Lewis has unveiled the video to new single ‘All Night’ (featuring Dornik) – also performing the track in 1Xtra’s Live Lounge this week (alongside a cover of Gnarls Barkley’s Crazy).

Named as One To Watch for 2016 by the likes of MTV and VEVO, a January date at Oslo sold out way in advance, with a UK & US Tour on sale now (featuring a London show at The Laundry on May 19th).

The video to ‘All Night’ uses vintage blaxploitation movies (combined with both modern and 70s style effects) to tell the story of two lovers over the course of the night. With the track itself described by SG as “my first attempt at channelling some nostalgia and 80s influences into one of my own tracks”, ‘All Night’ has already seen the young artist and producer surpass 10 million streams across Spotify. With additional support across Radio 1, 1Xtra and Beats1, breakout track ‘Warm’ was also the most Shazam’d track across all of American TV in 2015.

When young undergrad SG Lewis wrote debut track ‘Warm’ in his bedroom, he was pleased, but mainly thought he’d just made a fun but fairly straightforward post-club jam. 10,000 copies sold and a feature on HBO later, the song has became one of 2015’s most enduring slow burners, suggesting Lewis might have underestimated his own goods. With a longheld residency at Liverpool’s notorious Chibuku club night, the PMR Beat Club kid has become one of the most exciting young artist-producers in the UK.

Having made early live appearances across Pitchfork Paris and Manchester Warehouse Project – as well as remixing Disclosure (“god this is SO GOOD,” tweeted the track’s vocalist, Lorde) – early festival confirmations include Coachella, Primavera, Parklife and Wild Life. Upping his game on latest single ‘All Night’, behind the loops and beatmaking lies the mind of a singer-songwriter with bags of soul, and the inventive spirit of a young experimentalist.
