Tom Gee Band, one of this years most beloved, soul and blues bands have released its new studio album Swapping Stories, the follow up to 2013’s successful debut Better Things To Do.

The release, Better Things To Do made the band one of the UK’s most successful Blue acts, landing at No. 2 on the iTunes Blues Chart and garnered wide critical praise, earning a nomination in the Young Artist category at the British Blues Awards 2014.

In celebration of the release, the lineup of the eight piece band, who met through a combination of school and studying at Leeds College of Music, will kick off with a UK promotional tour this April.

The eleven track LP is filled with new recordings, including previously unrecorded material and a few reworked fan favourites, in a collective soul/blues/pop style album that is set to follow in the success of the band’s first recording.

The expanded album will include lead singles, Dead in the Morning, Superman and Thinking About You with influences from gospel, blues and funk. Tom Gee streams a lot of the bands inspiration from some of the world’s greatest artists, like John Mayer, Eric Clapton and British funk band Jamiroquai.

Starting out as a three piece band in 2008, adding keys in 2010 and brass and backing vocals in 2012, Swapping Stories is a big sound from a big band. The album is available to purchase now from through all major media providers including iTunes and tickets for all upcoming performances are available now at tomgeeband.com.
