Arctic Monkeys ask Do I Wanna Know about the Brits?

Arctic Monkeys remain unsure about performing at the Brit awards this year.

The Sheffield rockers released their smash album AM and new Brit Awards organiser Christian Tattersfeild feels it is essential to get the band on board this year.

Tattersfeild had to bring the band back onside and convince them that the Brit Awards were still a highlight in British music.

He said: "It took a lot of persuasion especially after they refused last time."

The band has sneered at the Brit awards despite winning awards at many of the past events.

In 2006 the band refused to attend the awards, and in 2007 they sent a mocking message as characters from The Wizard of Oz.

When the band finally attended in 2008 it was dressed as a traditional hunting party and were drowned out by organisers when delivering a scathing speech.

Christian hopes that having the band on board this year will help the awards gain some credibility after it hit rock bottom last year with a 'flat' and 'bland' ceremony hosted by James Corden.
