With the energy of the real thing, Stone Temple Pirates took to the stage at the 02 Academy Liverpool last Saturday night to pay tribute to one of rock’s most celebrated bands.

If you never got around to seeing Stone Temple Pilots, then these guys have you covered with everything you need.

Before this, the group were supported by two very different acts, giving the evening a diverse flavour for everyone to enjoy.

Opening heavy and hard, it was clear that Stone Temple Pirates were not there to disappoint.

With strong musicians, and a talented frontman giving the stage presence of the late Scott Weilland, the notion was faded that you were watching a cover band.

Weaving their way through a strong set of hits, performed to perfection, created an energetic atmosphere among the crowd.

The set included such hits like, ‘Creep’, ‘Interstate Love Song’ and many more to hold captive a singing and dancing audience.

Finally, drawing the evening to a close with the classic ‘Plush’, with no need of introduction gave a final explosion to the gig, taking it to a final level of energy.

The night was a definite success for the band who will continue to tour the UK throughout the summer.

Check out their Facebook page to catch them in your city, as this truly is one of the most faithful and beautiful tributes to Stone Temple Pilots that you could hope to see.
