Kristen Stewart strikes out of her Twi-frenzy mainstream and chooses another unique indie drama.
Having previously stretched her acting muscles in Adventureland and cut off her Bella locks for rocker biopic The Runaways, Stewart goes in another direction with The Rileys.
Taking on the role of a troubled stripper/prostitute the young superstar acts alongside “Sopranos” star James Gandolfini and “Everyone’s Fine” actress Melissa Leo.
An emotional drama about a couple dealing with the loss of their daughter. When Gandolfini befriends a young stripper, their friendship causes a rift between the grieving parents and sets about a change for all.
The trailer shows a powerful central trio living up to the hype of Sundance.
Let's hope Stewarts box office domination means this little indie flick gets more than just a limited US distribution which, like the fate of The Runaways, is yet to be decided here in the UK.
