Here's a sneak peek at the first official image from Angelina Jolie and Johnny Depp's romantic thriller The Tourist, released today.
The Tourist revolves around Frank (Depp), an American tourist in Italy who meets Elise (Jolie), a mysterious beauty who crosses Franks path accidently on purpose.
Against the romantic and scenic backdrop of Venice, Frank pursues a potential romance but soon finds himself the pursued as he and Elise are caught in a whirlwind of intrigue and danger.
Jolie and Depp are Hollywood royalty but were not the first choice for the roles. Charlize Theron and Sam Worthington were originally attached to the film but scheduling conflicts meant both stars had to pull out and Jolie and Depp were brought on board.
We're sure this action packed romance will be a hit at the box office even if it does smell suspiciously of a Mr and Mrs Smith plotline.
The Tourist is set for release February 2011.
