The Hangover movie review - the enduring appeal of an off the wall classic

There are a number of different movies about casinos or casinos being an important part of the plot. One of the best comedies of this century is definitely and undoubtedly The Hangover. The movie has been a reason for the laughs and smiles on the faces of millions of people, who have watched even a single part of it.

It is really hard to shoot a comedy movie based on the familiar theme, with the casino and drunk people involved, which would be surprisingly good and fun to watch. The Hangover is one of the must-watch movies if you really want to have some fun and laugh out loud.

The Cast

Not only the movie has a decent plot and some really nice plot twists, but it also has one of the best movie casts, you might come to access comedy movies. There are some of the most prominent and famous actors acting in the movie, who deliver additional hype and the fun vibe to the audience.

Among the movie cast, there is Bradley Cooper, Zach Galifianakis, Ed Helms, Ken Jeong, Justin Bartha, and others. One of the highlights of the movie cast is Mike Tyson, who actually had one of the most interesting roles in the movie.

The director of the movie is Todd Phillips. Obviously we could not expect less from the director of Joker and Old School, but it should be highlighted that both the quality of the movie, the roleplay of the cast, and the plot are a great combination.

Movie Plot

The movie is all about three friends who decide to go to Las Vegas, for the bachelorette celebration party. While the girls decide to make the party less loud, the boys were the ones to cause the mess and all of the misconceptions. Can you just imagine how the party in Las Vegas would look like? If you think that there would be a lot of drugs, alcohol, girls, and partying involved, then you are right.

The main scene, where everything actually begins is the casino. It should be very obvious, otherwise, why would they go to Las Vegas if not for the casino and to spend and win a lot of money. The movie tells the story of Phil Wenneck, Stu Price, Alan Garner, and Doug Billings, who travel to Las Vegas for a bachelor party to celebrate Doug's impending marriage.

However, Phil, Stu, and Alan wake up with Doug missing and no memory of the previous night's events and must find the groom before the wedding can take place.

The event where all of the friends messed up with the drug dealer took place in Ceaser Palace. One of the biggest and most famous casinos in Las Vegas. Caesar’s palace is not only the destination for the locals but for many people all over the world. The casino itself is very iconic and features in many movies, as well as in online games.

Some of the live casino games in Canada are based on the luxury theme of the Ceasar Palace casino, to bring the right and relevant vibe for the live or online casino players. Moreover, the soundtrack in the movie, by Flo Rida - Right Round, has become one of the most popular songs in that period and you could even hear it in many slot games as a background.

Whole fun begins in Caesar Palace, and on the next day of the bachelorette celebration, Phill discovers that he married a stripper in vegas and even has a child from her. You should also recognize the famous Mike Tyson face tattoo, which Dough and his friends decided to fo the previous night after meeting Tyson and his Tiger.

There is a lot of mess in the hotel room, and they have all been involved in the crime they have no idea about. Apparently, at some point, they need to find the way out and to find the lost money in order to rescue Dough. There comes Alan, who is known to be a real weirdo and a bit dumb. Though, he uses all of his knowledge of cards and plays blackjack and wins $80,000 in order to pay for Dough.

There are a lot of funny moments when all of the friends are looking for a friend with a child and an almost married man. Ken Jeong is one of the funniest characters of the movie, who is almost always naked and almost always high, consequently, his actions are unpredictable. Every single character of the movie carries a specific vibe, that creates a very funny and very enjoyable atmosphere.

Conclusion

The Hangover is one of the must-see movies, for everyone. It can be watched with a family or without a family. You will understand how good the movie is once you begin laughing out loud. Once watching the movie your primary destination should be Las Vegas. If you want to have fun, you should definitely go through the same path as the movie characters did.

The director did a really good job of creating the very unique and charismatic characters. While all of them are very different, they are still a really good bang. The plot twists are something that constantly keeps you hyped and interested.

If you have not watched the movie, you still have the pleasure of watching it in the future. Despite the fact that it was shot back in 2009, it still has not gone out of style and remains one of the best comedies ever.
