"Who ya gonna call?" Liverpool's most unique cinema VideOdyssey is playing host to a UK exclusive screening of a Ghostbusters documentary this Saturday with a live Q&A featuring the director and producer.

Cleanin’ Up The Town: Remembering Ghostbusters has been wowing audiences at film festivals across the globe. It charts the making of the original 1984 Ghostbusters film, featuring interviews with director Ivan Reitman, writers and stars Dan Aykroyd, Harold Ramis as well as Sigourney Weaver, and Ernie Hudson.

Directed and produced by brother and sister team Anthony and Claire Bueno, the indie documentary pays a fitting tribute to the creative team behind the global phenomenon that changed the movie industry and continues to enchant audiences to this day.

The documentary has been twelve years in the making. Featuring more than 50 unseen interviews with the original cast and crew - Cleanin' Up The Town: Remembering Ghostbusters deftly weaves heart-warming memories with never heard before stories.

Including one of the final interviews with Harold Ramis, aka Egon Spengler, who sadly passed away in 2014. Apart from co-writing and starring in Ghostbusters - Harold also wrote and directed Groundhog Day. The new footage of him joyously remembering his time donning the famous flight suit and proton pack - is an emotional charge for any fan.

The documentary also explores the mammoth task the art department and special effects team had bringing the script to life - in less than 10 months. Or funny tales... have you ever spared a thought for William Atherton, who played Walter Peck? The successful Shakespearean actor spent years dealing with accusations of 'having no genitals', from people on the street after Venkman's infamous quip.

The 2 hour Director's Cut of Cleanin' Up The Town: Remembering Ghostbusters will be screened in the VideOdyssey Studio cinema on Saturday March 14th, with a live Q&A featuring the director and producer Anthony and Claire Bueno.

VideOdyssey Studios owner Andy Johnson said: "We're delighted to score this exclusive screening. Ghostbusters is one of those timeless films. The whole venue is decorated with my old Ghostbusters toys, so any fan will feel right at home.

"The documentary exceptionally well crafted. The interview with Harold Ramis really packs an emotional punch. We're the only place showing the extended version with extra footage and stories from the set. There's so much you won't already know about, it's a real treat."

Tickets are £9 and include all the free play arcade games Slimer could eat. See you there!
