From the studios that brought you the global blockbuster franchises of Iron Man, Thor, Captain America, The Incredible Hulk and combined them all in The Avengers comes a new team; Guardians of the Galaxy.

Odeon has teamed up with Purple Revolver to offer one lucky winner the chance to win two tickets to see Marvel’s Guardians Of The Galaxy in IMAX 3D when it premiers on Friday 31st July.

An action-packed, epic space adventure, Marvel’s “Guardians of the Galaxy” expands the Marvel Cinematic Universe into the cosmos, where brash adventurer Peter Quill finds himself the object of an unrelenting bounty hunt after stealing a mysterious orb desired by Ronan the Accuser, a powerful villain with ambitions that threaten the entire universe.

Chris Pratt and Lee Pearce take the lead roles as Quill and Ronan respectively.

Director James Gunn tells the story of how in a bid to evade the ever-persistent Ronan – Quill is forced into an uneasy truce with a quartet of disparate misfits; Rocket Raccoon, Groot, the deadly and enigmatic Gamora and the revenge-driven Drax the Destroyer.

Hollywood A-Lister Bradly Cooper, who shot to fame with roles in The Hangover, Limitless and American Hustle provides the voice of Rocket Raccoon an intelligent, anthropomorphic raccoon who is an expert marksman and master tactician.

Fast and Furious star Vin Diesel voices Groot, an extraterrestrial, sentient tree-like humanoid.

The other stars include Star Trek actress Zoe Saldana who plays Gamora, a character with superhuman strength, agility and an accelerated healing factor.

WWE Superstar and former MMA fighter Dave “Batista” Bautista is also in the film. He plays Drax the Destroyer a character with enhanced strength and resilience, flight, and the ability to project energy blasts from his hands.

When Quill discovers the true power of the orb and the menace it poses to the cosmos, he must do his best to rally his ragtag rivals for a last, desperate stand – with the galaxy’s fate in the balance.
