Harry Potter spin off book to become new film trilogy

Harry Potter author J.K Rowling has confirmed plans to turn spin off book into further three films.

Fans of Harry Potter were left heartbroken when the films came to a close a few years ago, but news that three new films are on the horizon should come as exciting news.

The films will be based around a book that author J.K. Rowling wrote in 2001 called 'Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them.'

The book was a fictional text book that was used by students that went to the magical school of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. It was also on the reading list for all first year students.

It was written by fictional character Newt Scamander, a 'magizoolist.'

The book was first mentioned in the first book of the series, Harry Potter and The Philosophers Stone.

The films will be set in New York roughly seventy years before Harry, Ron and Hermione began their education at the school.

Although there has been no information released about the casting or filming of the movie, it has been confirmed that David Heyman, who helped produce the Harry Potter films, will be producer.

It has also been said that while talking to Harry Potter star Emma Watson that the author managed to write the script draft in just twelve days.

It was recently appointed Warner Brothers CEO Kevin Tsujihara who helped to push J.K Rowling into making the book into a new set of films for the franchise.

"We had one dinner, a follow-up telephone call, and then I got out the rough draft that I'd thought was going to be an interesting bit of memorabilia for my kids and started rewriting," JK Rowling told the New York Times.

The last film of the series, Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows Part 2 brought in a massive $1,341,511,219 , making it the fourth highest grossing film of all time.

Although these new films will not feature any of the famous Harry Potter cast, it is sure to excite Harry Potter fans all over the world to be able to return to the magical world of Hogwarts some time in the near future.
