Veteran Star Wars writer Lawrence Kasdan has been linked with a spin-off movie featuring Boba Fett.

The Metalocalypse director Jon Schnepp reports an unknown source has assured him that Kasdan will be working on a number of spin off movies to coincide with future releases in the Star Wars franchise.

Speaking on an internet podcast the director said:

“One of them is Boba Fett, It is. I know. I know for a fact. I will never reveal my source, but it is the one written by Lawrence Kasdan.”

Alongside Boba Fett, fan favourites Han Solo and Yoda have also been rumored characters for spin-off movies, but no official confirmation has been made by Disney.

It is reported that these character focused movies will fill in the years between each of the new Star Wars movies.

JJ Abrams is due to start shooting Disney’s Star Wars saga next month, but this recent rumour has left fans speculating over future growth in the Star Wars franchise.

It is believed that the spin-off movies will be released in conjunction with the new trilogy, which begins when Star Wars VII hits our screens at the end of next year.
