Party season is well and truly here girls, and it’s time to whip out the old classics and invest in some new statement pieces. Our high street favourites have managed to well and truly out do themselves this year, and there is some fabulous clothes on offer.

Here at Purple Revolver we have a passion for fashion, and have chosen some knock out outfits so you can look drop dead gorgeous at the dreaded Christmas office party.

First stop for party dresses online is firm favourite www.missguided.co.uk – bang on trend pieces for a fraction of the price you’d usually pay.

They have a separate dress section on their website which is broken down into 14 sections, making it quick and easy to access what you are looking for.

The Cadyna embroidered rose shift dress in tartan embodies everything that is right with winter fashion – lush green tartan in a clean cut shift style, which can be jazzed up with killer heels or dressed down with thick tights and flat black boots.

If you’re looking for something with more ‘wow’ factor, Missguided is not afraid to deliver. Why not slip into the Sergia rose gold metallic mini skirt paired with some barely there heels to brighten up those dark frosty November nights.

Online shops seem to be winning outright with their AW14 collections, and this doesn’t exclude web Queen ASOS.

Their stunning skater dress in premium velvet burnout is New Years Eve worthy, with a stunning high neckline and velvet overlay material – guaranteed to make you stand out this festive season. The delicate blue pattern complements the nude fabrics perfectly, and makes for a beautifully unique piece.

When you think high street, it’s fairly certain that there is one word that springs instantly to the mind of most girls – Topshop. And this year is no exception.

When browsing the organised and immaculately laid out website, the first item listed under dress is an immediate hit. The flocked sequin bodycon comes in at £68 and screams ‘party season’. Covered in luscious black sequins, the gothic yet feminine dress is nothing short of playful.

You can, of course, never go wrong with a strong LBD.

The winter collection is dominated by dreamy fabrics such as velvet and satin, and the colour scheme is kept minimal with dark hues of navy, burgundy and Christmas tree green.

If you are looking for something a little more understated for your autumnal evenings, look no further than the Topshop crepe zip shift dress (£45) available in cobalt blue, burgundy and grey. The simple but classic shift style is rejuvenated by the added details of edgy zips and a plunging neckline.

It’s all well and good to have the perfect dress for that highly anticipated Christmas night out, but to complete the look, you cannot go without the essential tool to perfecting winter style – lipstick.
MAC cosmetics continue to get it right when it comes to this area.

Why not sample a darker colour than usual and vamp up your image for December, with shades of deep purple and an intense blush red. See shades ‘Heroine’ and ‘Russian Red’ (all lipsticks £15.50)
