Monday morning commuters were treated to a burst of colour when leading Liverpool stylists Voodou performed a hairdressing flashmob on a Merseytravel train.

A crack team of lightning-paced Voodou girls boarded a Northern line carriage and picked out a passenger for a random makeover on their way to work.

Stunned onlookers peeped over the top of their newspapers as the gorgeous redhead was transformed from her weekend hangover look into a workplace vixen during the 15-minute journey.

Office worker Hannah Reeson, 19, was thrilled to receive the Voodou treatment from stylists Jenny Gallagher and Chloe Ewart between South Parkway and Central station.

The flashmobbing stunt was produced and filmed by event specialists Purple Revolver to launch Voodou's pledge to take their 'Art of looking good' campaign on to the streets of Liverpool.

Hannah, from Speke, said: "I couldn't believe my luck when they jumped on me.

"My head was ruined from the weekend and it really made my day.

"I felt fabulous and ready to take on the world with my hairdo."

Voodou MD Rob Webb said: "We were thinking of a fun way to liven up a wet Monday morning and a makeover video on a train fitted the bill.

"All our stylists are quick on the draw and have an eye for how to make people look great.

"Bored commuters should watch out - it could be you next."

Purple Revolver director Amber Tan said: "We've wanted to flashmob Monday commuters for a long time.

"Voodou were the perfect partners for the stunt, bursting with fun and colour.

"We'll be looking to do a follow-up in the near furture."
