Liverpool’s premiere vintage shop Little Red on Bold Street launched its summer season in style with the first day of its Festival in a Window.
Little Red Vintage, a favourite with the city’s fashionistas for its Parisian boutique feel, boasts a huge window, which will host a series of gigs by great musicians throughout May.
More than 80 fans packed in to the Bold Street boutique to enjoy the launch party featuring Ratty Little Fingers, Helen Maher, Kalika and DJ Simon Keat provided beats for an off the wall performance by some Liverpudlian emcees.
Good Vibrations chief James is bringing the best of Liverpool’s music scene to play the window every Saturday in May between 12-5pm with in store discount offers and drinks for shoppers.
Rising Liverpool star Luke Fenlon launched the festival by popping into the window and serenading the mannequins after an interview with Purple Revolver (watch this space).
Currently enjoying airplay on Radio One with his song Summer, Luke Fenlon said: “The Festival in the Window sounds like an ace idea and I’ll be in during May to check it out. Its on at the same time as Sound City, so maybe some more acts will drop by and get involved.”
Shop Owner Kate Harris said: “We’ve wanted to do something different in the store for a long time to reward our loyal customers and welcome new ones.
“It was a great night, the emcees were a bit random for a vintage shop, but they went down a storm and we’re putting on more live music, drinks and discounts up to a 20 per cent throughout May.
“So be sure to get down early to grab a bargain.”
The store will also be launching their Face of Little Red Vintage campaign during May, encouraging customers to send in photos of themselves wearing the store’s gorgeous garms to feature in their Facebook profile picture.
The grand winner will bag a £25 store gift voucher and a starring role modelling for a vintage Purple Revolver photo shoot.
