Fake Problems hit the UK with new single and tour

American indie band Fake Problems are to release their new single 'Diamond Rings' in the UK next month.

The Florida based foursome are also due to play Reading and Leeds festivals as well as play support to folk star Frank Turner in October as they look to heighten their profile on this side of the water. (See video below!)

'Diamond Rings' is the second single off 'It's Great to Be Alive', the band's second album that was released earlier this year.

Vocalist Chris Farren explains the evolution of the track: "It really came out of nowhere for this record. The original version of it is a dark, slow, Tom Waits-esque country song, but that vibe just didn't fit with what we wanted to do for the record - so we decided to destroy it completely and rebuild it from the ground up.

"I've had a few people come up to me and ask me specifically what this song is about, and I always turn it around on them to see what they think it's about. And it's always far more interesting than what the song is actually about.”

The band's second album is a real reinvention of their sound having spent countless months on the road touring before they began recording and producing it amongst the cornfields of Omaha, Nebraska in a mere two weeks.

Diamond Rings is out September 7th. 'It's Great to Be Alive' is out now on the Side One Dummy label.
