Pete Tong says Dizzee Rascal can't hack techno music

Dizzee Rascal cannot handle Techno music according to clubbing mate Pete Tong.

The Radio 1 DJ said: “Dizzee wanted someone to hang out with at a dance festival we were both at recently so I took him around the event.”

“He was quite naive to it all. I don’t think he could handle techno. But I took him to see LCD Soundsystem and he loved it.”

Dance supremo Tong is set to play a number of shows in Ibiza this summer and he kicked off proceedings this week with the opening of his Wonderland Club Night on ‘Devil Island’.

Tong also revealed how he likes to wind up venues with ridiculous and bizarre requests. The internationally acclaimed DJ added: “I started asking for tea in the DJ booth as everyone expects you to ask for champagne or vodka. I also asked or an espresso machine.”
