When you create a super-hero called Foreskin Man, you can safely assume that a little bit of controversy will be flung your way.
The comic's creator, Matthew Hess, has been accused of anti-Semitism for his caped crusader, who protects vulnerable citizens against male genital mutilation.
Defending his art Hess told SFgate: "We’re not trying to be anti-Semitic. We’re trying to be pro-human rights."

The Anti-Defamation League has voiced strong opposition over the comic, stating that it has 'grotesque anti-Semitic imagery and themes.'
The idea behind the character seems to stem from a new Californian initiative to ban the circumcision of underage males in some of the state's cities, with no religious exceptions.
