MIA cancels show at Liverpool O2 Academy tonight

The Paper Planes star will be Missing In Action for tonight's gig at the Liverpool Academy after her management cancelled the show at short notice due to 'unforseen circumstances.'

The venue and promoters issued an apology and asked us to notify people who were guest listed for the show or had won competition tickets.

The Born Free singer issued an apology and said she hopes to return to Liverpool in the near future.

MIA's management issued this statement: "Due to unforeseen circumstances, sadly MIA is unable to perform on Friday November 19th in Liverpool.

"She sends her apologies, and hopes to be back in Liverpool soon."
